Alexander was born in approximately July 20, 356 B.C. He died in Babylon in 323 B.C. from a fever. He was put in a gold coffin and then put in a glass coffin. He was buried in the royal cemetery.
Alexander had an Arabian horse, and his name was Bucephalas. Alexander and Bucephalas were friends for almost 20 years. Bucephalas served him both as a warhorse and a hunter. During the battle of the River Hydaspes, his horse was injured and died shortly after. When Bucephalas died, Alexander named a city after him, and the city was never found.
Alexander's dad's name was King Phillip II of Macedon. His mom's name was Olympias, a queen of Macedon. His father had other children, but Alexander was special because he was to become one of the few people in history to be called "the Great." His religion was Greek Polytheism. He ruled the Argead Dynasty. His real name was Alexander III of Macedon.
Alexander had to take a test to say he was a man and a ruler. The test had two challenges that were very hard. First, he had to kill a wild boar with one sphere. Second, he had to kill a man in combat. After he did these two challenges, he could call himself a man and a ruler.
Alexander had a lot of hobbies and strengths. Some of his hobbies were drama and poetry. He also enjoyed music. He played two musical instruments, the lyre and aulos. One of his strengths was running fast. Another strength that he had was using the stick for fighting in battle.
Alexander was home schooled by his mother. She was a very strict teacher, like a fearful father. She always doubted him and thought he was not smart. His mother beat him up when he did bad. He was 32 years old when he died.
